Tas City Building was proud to deliver the Health Nexus Launceston project—an elegant, high-performance healthcare facility designed to support the wellbeing of the local community. The development focused on creating a welcoming, patient-friendly environment while maintaining functionality and minimising disruption to nearby businesses.

Several complexities were encountered throughout the build. Low ceiling heights presented mechanical design constraints that required creative, in-progress adjustments. The project’s location on a major arterial road added further complications, including heavy traffic, limited parking, and the need to work alongside neighbouring businesses that remained operational throughout construction. Balancing construction activity with the need for quiet, uninterrupted business operations was a critical consideration.

The Tas City Building team responded with flexibility, precision, and a collaborative mindset:

• Mechanical systems were reconfigured mid-project to accommodate the restricted ceiling space, ensuring functionality without compromising the overall design intent.
• Proactive scheduling and coordination helped maintain construction momentum while respecting the operations of adjacent businesses.
• Noise mitigation and traffic planning were prioritised to minimise the project’s impact on the surrounding area.

The completed facility includes three modern consultation rooms and was delivered ahead of schedule, enabling the client to begin operations earlier than planned.
